- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Allow the crust to cool slightly.
- Spread the sliced strawberries evenly over the crust.
- Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until fluffy.
- Spread the whipped cream over the strawberries.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the top.
- Bake for another 20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
- Serve chilled and enjoy.
