- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine until al dente.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Melt butter in the same skillet and stir in honey.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it in the honey butter glaze. Remove and keep warm.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
- Slice the chicken and place on top of the pasta. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the smoothest sauce.
- Reserve a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
- Reheat leftovers slowly over low heat with a splash of cream.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
