Description

A creamy homemade peach custard pie with juicy peaches baked inside a silky vanilla custard filling and a flaky buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust
  • 4 medium peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and place the pie crust into a 9 inch pie dish.
  2. Whisk together eggs, sugar, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, cornstarch, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Arrange sliced peaches evenly inside the pie crust.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the peaches.
  5. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the center is mostly set and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
  • Allow the pie to cool fully so the custard sets properly.
