Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these fried Cajun deviled eggs bring a bold, spiced twist to a classic appetizer that is perfect for gatherings or a flavorful snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (for coating)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs, peel them, slice in half, and remove the yolks.
  2. In a bowl, mix yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  4. Prepare three bowls, one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each filled egg in flour, dip in egg, and cover with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the coated eggs until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  8. Remove and place on paper towels, then sprinkle with extra Cajun seasoning and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Chill eggs before coating to help them hold shape.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch if desired.
  • Serve warm for best texture and flavor.
