Description

Crispy golden taquitos filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, perfect for a quick meal or crowd-pleasing snack.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C or prepare oil in a skillet for frying.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned.
  3. Add salt, black pepper, and paprika, then mix well and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and a sprinkle of shredded cheese onto each tortilla.
  5. Roll the tortillas tightly and place them seam-side down on a lined baking tray or directly into the skillet.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and crispy, or fry until crisp on all sides.
  7. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas slightly before rolling to prevent cracking.
  • Do not overfill to avoid opening during cooking.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
  • Reheat in the oven to keep them crispy.
