Description

Soft and fluffy garlic knots filled with gooey melted cheese, brushed with rich garlic butter and finished with fresh herbs and parmesan, perfect as a snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar, then let it sit until foamy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  3. Lightly oil a bowl and place the dough inside, cover and let it rise until doubled in size.
  4. Divide the dough, flatten each piece, place a cube of cheese inside, then shape into knots.
  5. Arrange on the baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 15 to 18 minutes.
  6. Mix melted butter with garlic and brush over the hot knots, then sprinkle parsley and parmesan.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not overfill with cheese to prevent leaking
  • Use fresh garlic for stronger flavor
  • Reheat in the oven to maintain texture
