- 300 grams raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 300 grams white fish, cut into chunks
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup peas
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup seafood broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Gradually add milk and seafood broth, stirring constantly until the sauce becomes smooth and thick.
- Add shrimp, fish, carrots, peas, potatoes, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
- Lightly grease a baking dish and pour the seafood mixture into it evenly.
- Spoon the biscuit mix evenly over the top of the filling.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden and the filling is bubbling.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle dried parsley on top, let it cool slightly, then serve.
Notes
- Do not overcook seafood before baking, it will finish cooking in the oven.
- Let the sauce thicken well before assembling for best texture.
- You can prepare the filling ahead and bake later.
