Description

A rich and comforting seafood pot pie topped with fluffy cheddar biscuits, filled with a creamy blend of shrimp, fish, and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 300 grams raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 300 grams white fish, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup seafood broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Gradually add milk and seafood broth, stirring constantly until the sauce becomes smooth and thick.
  4. Add shrimp, fish, carrots, peas, potatoes, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Lightly grease a baking dish and pour the seafood mixture into it evenly.
  6. Spoon the biscuit mix evenly over the top of the filling.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden and the filling is bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle dried parsley on top, let it cool slightly, then serve.

Notes

  • Do not overcook seafood before baking, it will finish cooking in the oven.
  • Let the sauce thicken well before assembling for best texture.
  • You can prepare the filling ahead and bake later.
