Description

The Wisconsin Supper Club Inspired Cheeseball is a nostalgic and crowd-pleasing appetizer packed with bold flavors from sharp cheddar, cream cheese, horseradish, and a hint of Worcestershire. Rolled in crunchy pecans and parsley, it’s the perfect retro party starter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for coating)
  • Optional: sliced green onions or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands or plastic wrap.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix together chopped pecans and parsley.
  4. Roll the cheeseball in the pecan-parsley mixture until fully coated.
  5. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up and allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve chilled with crackers, pretzels, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • Make ahead: the cheeseball can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • Swap cheddar for a smoked cheese or blue cheese for variation.
  • Use crushed crackers or bacon bits for the coating instead of pecans for a different texture.
