Description

White Garlic Pizza Sauce is a creamy, flavorful alternative to traditional tomato pizza sauce. Made with garlic, butter, and cream, this rich sauce enhances your pizza with a savory, garlicky base that pairs perfectly with a variety of toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir occasionally, cooking for 3–4 minutes to allow it to thicken slightly.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings (oregano and garlic powder). Stir until the cheese has fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before spreading on your pizza dough. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it with a little more cream or milk.
  6. Spread evenly on your prepared pizza crust and top with your favorite toppings before baking.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or freshly chopped herbs like thyme or basil.
  • Make sure to cook the garlic until fragrant but not browned to avoid bitterness.
  • This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before using.
  • Great for white pizzas, chicken Alfredo pizzas, or with vegetables like spinach and mushrooms.
