Description

A rich and creamy white garlic pizza sauce that’s perfect for pairing with any of your favorite pizza toppings. It’s smooth, flavorful, and easy to make at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute to form a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream, ensuring there are no lumps.
  5. Continue to cook, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano (if using). Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before spreading over your pizza dough.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • The sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If the sauce thickens too much, whisk in a splash of milk before using.
