Description

These Whipped Goat Cheese with Cranberry Chutney Crostini are an elegant and festive appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings or dinner parties. Creamy whipped goat cheese is spread over crispy toasted baguette slices and topped with tangy-sweet cranberry chutney for a delicious balance of flavors and textures.

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup cranberry chutney (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
  2. Toast in the oven for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a food processor, blend goat cheese, cream cheese, and honey (if using) until smooth and fluffy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread a generous layer of whipped goat cheese onto each crostini.
  5. Spoon a small amount of cranberry chutney on top of the cheese.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired. Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.

  • Make the whipped goat cheese a day ahead and store it covered in the fridge.
  • You can use fig or apricot chutney as an alternative topping.
