Description

Grilled watermelon steak with smoky seasoning and a balsamic glaze, finished with fresh herbs and optional crushed nuts for a juicy, savory twist on summer fruit.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium Seedless Watermelon: cut into 1.5-inch thick round slices
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil: brushed on both sides for caramelization
  • 1 teaspoon Salt: enhances sweetness and balances flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper: adds subtle heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika: gives a smoky, savory depth
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze: drizzled for tangy finish
  • Fresh Mint or Basil: a few leaves for garnish and aroma
  • 2 tablespoons Crushed Pistachios or Walnuts: optional for crunch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Brush the grill grates or pan with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Brush both sides of each watermelon slice with the oil mixture.
  5. Grill each slice for 3–5 minutes per side, until grill marks form and surface caramelizes.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, and garnish with herbs and optional nuts.
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
