Description

Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings are crispy, savory chicken wings glazed with a flavorful blend of fish sauce, garlic, and a hint of sweetness—perfect as a snack or appetizer with a punch of umami.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Chopped fresh cilantro and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lime juice, black pepper, and vegetable oil.
  2. Add chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the fridge.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Arrange wings on the wire rack and bake for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through, until wings are crispy and cooked through.
  5. Optional: For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2–3 minutes at the end, watching carefully.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and green onions before serving.
