Description

The Ultimate After-The-Pool Sandwich is a satisfying and refreshing layered sandwich, perfect for recharging after a swim. Packed with deli meats, cheese, crisp veggies, and a zesty spread, it’s a flavorful and energizing bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 large ciabatta or hoagie roll, sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 slices turkey breast
  • 2 slices ham
  • 2 slices salami
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 6 slices cucumber
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread on both cut sides of the bread.
  2. Layer turkey, ham, salami, provolone, and cheddar onto the bottom half of the bread.
  3. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Add pickles if using, then close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
  5. Slice in half and serve immediately or wrap tightly for later.

Notes

  • For a toasted version, grill or press the sandwich before adding the lettuce and veggies.
  • Use hummus or avocado instead of mayo for a lighter version.
