This easy stir fry sauce is a versatile and flavorful mix of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and a touch of sweetness — perfect for bringing your favorite stir fry dishes to life.

- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl or jar, whisk together all ingredients until well combined and cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- Use immediately in stir fry recipes by adding to cooked protein and vegetables in a hot pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Alternatively, store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Shake or stir before using.
Notes
- This sauce pairs well with chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, or vegetables.
- Add a splash of orange juice or hoisin sauce for a flavor twist.
