Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Roll dough into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and flatten them slightly. Place a small spoonful of strawberry jam in the center of each cookie.
- Top with another dough ball and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges, ensuring the jam stays inside.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden around the edges. Let cool on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cookies and top with sprinkles if desired.

- Use any jam flavor you like for variety, such as raspberry or blueberry.
- If you prefer a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.
