Description

A refreshing layered drink made with sweet mango, juicy strawberries, fresh lemon juice, and honey for the perfect bright and fruity summer lemonade.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse your blender and strainer with hot water to prepare your tools.
  2. Blend mango cubes with 1 tablespoon honey and 1/2 cup water until smooth. Transfer to a bowl. Rinse blender and blend strawberries with remaining honey and 1/2 cup water until smooth.
  3. Strain both the mango and strawberry mixtures through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
  4. In a pitcher, mix lemon juice with the remaining 1 cup water, then stir in the mango puree.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator if desired.
  6. Fill glasses with ice, pour in the mango lemonade first, then gently layer the strawberry mixture over the back of a spoon.
  7. Garnish with mint or fruit and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fully ripe mangoes for the best sweetness and texture.
  • Straining the mixtures gives the drink a silky smooth consistency.
  • For a fizzy version, top with sparkling water before serving.
  • Freeze any leftovers into ice cubes for flavored water later on.
