Description
A flaky, golden pastry filled with sweet cream cheese and fresh strawberries, these Strawberry Danishes are perfect for breakfast or dessert.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Unfold puff pastry and cut into 4–6 squares.
- Score a border around each square and prick the centers with a fork.
- Spread cream cheese mixture in the center of each square, leaving the borders clear.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Beat the egg with water and brush the edges of the pastry.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use chilled puff pastry for best results.
- Substitute strawberries with raspberries, blueberries, or jam.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
