Description

Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with a sweet strawberry cheesecake filling and topped with a creamy glaze. These Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls are the ultimate indulgent breakfast or dessert treat.

Ingredients

  • Dough: 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet), 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup warm milk, 1/4 cup warm water, 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted), 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Filling: 8 oz cream cheese (softened), 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup diced strawberries (fresh or frozen, drained), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon Sugar: 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2–3 tablespoons milk or cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the filling by beating cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle about 12×16 inches. Spread melted butter evenly, sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture, and then spread the strawberry cream cheese filling on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the long side and slice into 12 even rolls. Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to form a glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for best flavor and avoid excess moisture in the filling.
  • You can prepare the rolls the night before and bake in the morning after a final rise.
  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the filling.
