Description

Juicy seared steak topped with a rich, creamy Cajun shrimp sauce made with garlic, cream, and bold spices—an indulgent, restaurant-worthy surf-and-turf meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear steaks 3–5 minutes per side for desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat, add heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and chili flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return shrimp to the pan and coat in sauce. Cook for 1 more minute.
  8. Spoon creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over steaks, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning and chili flakes to control spice level.
  • Use peeled tail-off shrimp for easier eating.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
