Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite sized cubes
- 1 pound baby potatoes, cut into small cubes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
- In a bowl, toss the potato cubes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Add the potatoes to the hot skillet in a single layer and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Transfer them to a plate.
- Add the steak bites to the same skillet in a single layer.
- Cook the steak bites for 4 to 5 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness.
- Return the potatoes to the skillet and add butter and minced garlic.
- Toss everything together and cook for about 1 minute until the butter melts and the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Pat the steak dry before cooking to help achieve a better sear.
- Cook the steak in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the skillet.
- Add the garlic at the end of cooking so it does not burn.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice right before serving.
