Description

A bold and creamy fusion dish combining tender rotini pasta, savory tuna, spicy mayo, and fresh vegetables for a refreshing and satisfying salad that’s perfect warm or chilled.

Ingredients

  • Rotini Pasta: 250g, cooked al dente
  • Canned Tuna in Water: 1 can (150g), well-drained
  • Mayonnaise: 1/3 cup
  • Sriracha or Gochujang: 1–2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Green Onion: 1 stalk, finely sliced
  • Cucumber: 1/2 cup, diced
  • Sweet Corn Kernels: 1/4 cup
  • Salt and Pepper: To taste
  • Sesame Seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Chili Flakes (Optional): A pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: If serving chilled, clear space in your fridge to cool the salad quickly.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
  4. Assemble the Dish: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled pasta, drained tuna, diced cucumber, corn, and green onion.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Fold in the spicy mayo mixture until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Finishing Touches: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and a pinch of chili flakes if using. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Chill for 15–20 minutes or enjoy immediately. Serve as a main or side.

Notes

  • Chill before serving for the best flavor.
  • Adjust spiciness by varying the sriracha amount.
  • Use cold water to rinse pasta to prevent sticking.
  • Add avocado or edamame for extra texture and nutrition.
