A hearty yet fresh pasta dish featuring flaky salmon, roasted broccoli, and penne tossed with garlic, chili, lemon, and Parmesan for a spicy, zesty kick.
Ingredients

- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Toss broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes until crisp at the edges.
- Cook penne pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season salmon with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until flaky.
- In a large pan, sauté garlic in olive oil, add red pepper flakes, then toss in pasta with a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Stir in roasted broccoli, then gently fold in flaked salmon.
- Finish with lemon juice, zest, Parmesan, and parsley before serving.
Notes
- Save some pasta water to help bind the sauce together.
- Adjust spice level by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
