- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and grease your cake pan thoroughly.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture until fully combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans evenly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and tap to remove air bubbles.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve as is, or top with a light glaze or powdered sugar if desired.
