Description

Smash Burger Tacos combine the juicy crisp of smash burgers with the handheld charm of tacos, layered with melty cheese, crunchy pickles, fresh toppings, and a creamy burger sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 8 Flour Tortillas (street taco size)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Dill Pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 Tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and garlic powder in a bowl to create the burger sauce. Set aside.
  3. Lightly oil the skillet if needed and ensure it’s evenly hot.
  4. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal balls. Place one ball on the skillet, top with a tortilla, and smash down firmly to spread the beef thin.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the beef is crispy. Flip so the tortilla is on the bottom, add cheese, and cook for 1-2 more minutes until melted.
  6. Repeat with remaining beef and tortillas.
  7. Top each taco with sauce, pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes.
  8. Serve hot with optional sides like fries or slaw.
