Description
Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta is a comforting one-pot meal that combines the savory flavors of a sloppy joe with cheesy pasta. It’s hearty, easy to make, and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce or sloppy joe sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 2 cups beef or chicken broth
- 2 cups uncooked pasta (elbow, penne, or rotini)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Mix well.
- Add broth and uncooked pasta. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Stir in milk and shredded cheese until creamy and fully melted.
- Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use your favorite pasta shape — elbow, rotini, or shells work great.
- For extra richness, stir in a spoonful of cream cheese or sour cream at the end.
- This dish reheats well and is great for leftovers.
