Description
Crispy, flavorful oat crackers made with pantry staples like oats, whole wheat flour, olive oil, and herbs. Perfect for snacking, dipping, or adding to a cheese board.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, salt, baking powder, garlic powder, rosemary, and sesame seeds. Stir in olive oil and warm water until a cohesive dough forms.
- Dust a flat surface lightly with flour. Divide the dough in half for easier rolling.
- Roll each portion thin, about 1/8 inch thick. Transfer to the baking sheet and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut into squares or rectangles. Prick each cracker with a fork.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, flipping the sheet halfway through, until edges are golden and crisp.
- Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- Serve with your favorite dips, cheese, or enjoy on their own.
Notes
- Use rolled oats, not instant oats, for best texture.
- Roll dough evenly to avoid uneven baking.
- Store in an airtight container to keep them crisp.
