Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (1-lb) roll breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 (8-oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained very well
- 2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent dough sheets
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, Italian seasoning, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel until fully combined.
- Roll out one crescent dough sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Spread half of the sausage mixture evenly over the dough.
- Tightly roll the dough into a log, then slice into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels. Place onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Repeat with the second crescent dough sheet and remaining filling.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure the Rotel is drained well to prevent soggy pinwheels.
- You can prepare the rolls ahead, refrigerate, and slice/bake when ready.
- Great for game day, potlucks, or holiday gatherings.
- Swap breakfast sausage with spicy sausage for extra heat.
