Description

Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring is a crowd-pleasing appetizer or brunch centerpiece made with flaky crescent dough, savory sausage, and gooey melted cheese. It’s golden, buttery, and perfect for parties, game day, or holiday mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked sausage with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, forming a sun shape.
  5. Spoon sausage mixture in a ring around the center of the dough circle.
  6. Fold the triangle tips over the filling and tuck under the center to seal.
  7. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.

  • You can substitute sausage with cooked ground beef or a vegetarian sausage alternative.
