- 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix cooked sausage with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, forming a sun shape.
- Spoon sausage mixture in a ring around the center of the dough circle.
- Fold the triangle tips over the filling and tuck under the center to seal.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.

- You can substitute sausage with cooked ground beef or a vegetarian sausage alternative.
