Description

Creamy fettuccine pasta tossed in a rich garlic Alfredo sauce with tender flakes of salmon and freshly grated parmesan. A comforting, restaurant style pasta dish that is simple enough for weeknights but satisfying enough for special dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 12 ounces salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon for about 4 to 5 minutes per side until fully cooked and flaky. Remove from the pan and gently flake the salmon into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently. Allow the cream to warm for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese while stirring continuously until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss gently so the noodles are fully coated in the Alfredo sauce.
  7. Fold in the flaked salmon and season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes so everything warms through.
  9. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the pasta and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freshly grated parmesan melts more smoothly and gives better flavor.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add a small splash of pasta cooking water to loosen it.
  • Cook the salmon just until flaky to keep it tender.
  • A squeeze of lemon juice before serving can brighten the creamy sauce.
