Description
A decadent dessert combining fudgy brownie layers with a luscious caramel center, all baked in a buttery pie crust for the ultimate indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Flaky sea salt for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread half the brownie batter into the prepared crust.
- Pour caramel sauce evenly over the brownie layer, then top with remaining batter and gently spread to cover.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is just set.
- Cool slightly before slicing. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
- Use high-quality caramel for best flavor.
- Do not overbake — the center should remain slightly gooey.
- For extra richness, swirl some caramel into the top before baking.
