Description

Soft, fluffy cheddar biscuits inspired by Red Lobster, topped with garlic butter and herbs for a savory, irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk, more if needed
  • 1/3 cup cold butter
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut cold butter into small pieces and blend into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Add milk gradually and mix until a soft dough forms. Add more milk if the dough is too dry.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While biscuits bake, combine melted butter, dried parsley, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning (if using) in a small bowl.
  9. Remove biscuits from the oven and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cold butter to achieve a flaky, tender texture.
  • Cheddar cheese can be substituted with your favorite cheese for variation.
  • Optional Italian seasoning adds extra flavor but can be omitted for a classic taste.
  • Serve immediately for the best softness and flavor.
