Description

These Pizza Pot Pies are a fun twist on classic pizza—gooey cheese, savory sauce, and your favorite toppings baked under a golden crust of pizza dough. Served straight from ramekins, they’re cozy, customizable, and perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade pizza dough)
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings such as sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Olive oil for brushing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease 4 oven-safe ramekins.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine marinara sauce with oregano, basil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Layer each ramekin with a spoonful of sauce, a sprinkle of mozzarella, some pepperoni or chosen toppings, and a little Parmesan cheese. Repeat until ramekins are nearly full, finishing with cheese on top.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and cut into circles slightly larger than the tops of the ramekins.
  5. Place the dough over each ramekin, pressing edges to seal. Brush with olive oil if desired.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Carefully invert onto plates or serve directly in ramekins.

Notes

  • Use any pizza toppings you love—make each ramekin unique for different tastes.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle garlic salt or Italian seasoning on the dough before baking.
  • These can be made in advance and refrigerated—just add 5 extra minutes to baking time.
  • For a vegetarian option, load up with mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers instead of meat.
