Description

Pimento Cheese Fries are a bold and irresistible appetizer or snack featuring crispy golden fries smothered in a rich, creamy, and tangy pimento cheese sauce. Perfect for parties, game day, or an indulgent treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (about 20 oz) frozen French fries or homemade fries
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup diced pimentos, drained
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook French fries according to package instructions or until golden and crispy if homemade. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, cream cheese, diced pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the pimento cheese mixture to a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until warm and creamy.
  4. Arrange the hot fries on a serving plate or baking sheet. Pour the warm pimento cheese sauce evenly over the fries.
  5. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for best melt and texture.
  • Add cooked crumbled bacon or pickled jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a fork or load into mini baskets for party-friendly servings.
  • Make the pimento cheese ahead of time and store in the fridge up to 3 days.
