- 250g halloumi cheese, sliced into sticks
- 500g thick-cut potatoes or oven chips
- 3 tbsp peri-peri sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Toss the oven chips in olive oil and a pinch of salt, then bake until golden and crisp.
- In a small saucepan, combine peri-peri sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Warm gently over low heat.
- Heat a non-stick pan with a bit of olive oil and fry halloumi sticks for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Arrange the baked chips on a serving platter, then layer with crispy halloumi.
- Drizzle the warm honey-peri mixture over the top, letting it coat the cheese and chips evenly.
- Finish with a sprinkle of parsley and chili flakes. Serve immediately while hot.
