Description

Fudgy, rich peppermint brownie bites topped with crushed peppermint candies for a festive twist. These mini treats are perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line with parchment cups.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring gently. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full. Tap the tin to level the batter.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until tops are set and slightly crackly.
  7. Immediately sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies. Cool in tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
  8. Serve warm or cool completely for a firmer texture.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs and butter for better mixing.
  • Crush peppermint candies just before using to keep them fresh.
  • Freeze leftovers in a sealed bag for up to 2 months.
  • Chilling before serving helps set the texture.
