Description
Pecan Pie Bark is a quick and delicious twist on the classic holiday dessert. Made with buttery toffee, crunchy pecans, and a crisp cracker base, this sweet treat captures all the flavors of pecan pie in an easy, shareable form—perfect for gifting or snacking!
Ingredients
Scale
- 40 saltine crackers (about 1 sleeve)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Optional: melted chocolate for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it.
- Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer to cover the entire baking sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Bring to a boil and let it bubble for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Mix in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the crackers and spread gently to cover them all.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. If using, drizzle melted chocolate over the bark once cooled slightly.
- Once fully set, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- You can use graham crackers instead of saltines for a sweeter base.
- Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a sweet-salty finish.
- Store in a cool place or refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Great for holiday gift boxes or cookie trays!
