Description
Peach Lemonade is a refreshing, fruity beverage that blends the sweet flavor of ripe peaches with the tang of fresh lemons—perfect for summer sipping or any time you need a thirst-quenching treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water, divided
- 3 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Peach or lemon slices and mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 2 cups of water, sliced peaches, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes until peaches are soft and sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Blend the peach mixture until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp if desired.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach purée, lemon juice, and remaining 2 cups of cold water. Stir well to mix.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness with more sugar or lemon juice as needed.
- Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice with optional peach or lemon slices and mint leaves.
Notes
- Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Turn it into a sparkling lemonade by adding club soda instead of still water.
