Ingredients
Scale
- 12 store-bought or homemade yeast donuts (unfilled)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- 1 1/2 cups canned or fresh peaches, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cobbler filling)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine peaches, brown sugar, granulated sugar (for filling), cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in whipped cream until light and fluffy to create cheesecake filling.
- Make a small incision in the side of each donut and gently widen the cavity inside.
- Fill a piping bag with the cheesecake mixture and pipe halfway into each donut cavity.
- Then add the cooled peach cobbler filling into the donut, filling completely.
- Brush the donuts lightly with melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours for a chilled version.
Notes
- You can use store-bought filled donuts by removing some filling and replacing it with the cheesecake-peach mixture.
- To save time, use canned peach pie filling and pre-made donuts.
- Best enjoyed the same day to maintain freshness and texture.
