- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- For the Coffee Topping:

- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules

- Roll the coffee topping dough into small discs and place one on top of each dough ball, gently pressing down.
- Let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 15–20 minutes until golden and the topping is crisp.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the coffee strength by adding more or less instant coffee granules.
- For extra shine, brush buns with milk before baking.
- Store buns in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving.
