Description

One Pot Kielbasa Pasta is a simple and hearty dish made with smoked kielbasa, tender pasta, and a creamy, flavorful sauce—all cooked in a single pot for easy prep and cleanup.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Return kielbasa to the pot and stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, uncooked pasta, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add spinach or peas during the last few minutes for extra veggies.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.
  • Smoked turkey sausage works well as a substitute for kielbasa.
  • Great for leftovers—just reheat with a splash of broth or cream.
