Description
One Pot Kielbasa Pasta is a simple and hearty dish made with smoked kielbasa, tender pasta, and a creamy, flavorful sauce—all cooked in a single pot for easy prep and cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Return kielbasa to the pot and stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, uncooked pasta, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Add spinach or peas during the last few minutes for extra veggies.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.
- Smoked turkey sausage works well as a substitute for kielbasa.
- Great for leftovers—just reheat with a splash of broth or cream.
