- 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions
- Place a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add butter and olive oil, then stir in the sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until they become deep golden and soft.

- Mix until the sauce becomes creamy and evenly coats the pasta.
- Serve warm with extra cheese if desired.
