Description

No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars are a delicious, safe-to-eat treat that tastes just like classic cookie dough—without the need for eggs or baking. Topped with a rich chocolate layer, these bars are the perfect indulgent snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it in a bowl for 1–2 minutes or baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill any bacteria.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and mix well.
  4. Gradually mix in the heat-treated flour and salt. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  5. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  6. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons butter in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  8. Pour and spread the melted chocolate over the chilled dough layer.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For a crunchier texture, add chopped nuts or crushed pretzels to the dough.
  • Use oat flour or almond flour for a gluten-free version.
  • Store bars in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Heat-treating the flour is important to ensure it’s safe to eat raw.
