- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 limes, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Combine beef strips with salt, cumin, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil until evenly coated.
- Add remaining oil to the pan and heat briefly.
- Place beef in a single layer in the pan.
- Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and slightly charred.
- Warm tortillas in a separate pan or directly over heat.
- Assemble tacos by filling tortillas with beef, then topping with chopped onion and cilantro, finish with lime juice and serve immediately.
