Description

This rich and creamy Marry Me Chicken Ditalini brings together tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and ditalini pasta in a savory tomato-cream sauce that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces Ditalini Pasta
  • 2 large Chicken Breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and bring a pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
  2. Cook ditalini pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  3. In the hot skillet, add olive oil and sear chicken chunks until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, lower the heat and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, and stir.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and cream. Stir and let it simmer gently until slightly thickened, about 5–7 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and let melt. Return chicken to the skillet.
  6. Add cooked ditalini pasta and toss everything together. Add pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Spoon into bowls and top with fresh basil and extra cheese if you like.

Notes

  • Use room temperature chicken for even cooking.
  • Salt your pasta water well to enhance flavor.
  • Finish with pasta water for a smoother sauce texture.
  • Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
