Description

Maple BBQ Hasselback Kielbasa Bites are a sweet and savory appetizer made with kielbasa sausage, sliced Hasselback-style, and glazed with a rich maple BBQ sauce. These flavorful bites are perfect for game day or any party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced Hasselback-style
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the kielbasa sausage into thin rounds, then carefully slice each round Hasselback-style, making slits about halfway through each piece.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Place the sliced kielbasa rounds on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the maple BBQ sauce mixture, making sure the sauce gets into the slits.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the kielbasa is heated through and the sauce is caramelized.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, broil the kielbasa bites for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking.
  • Serve with toothpicks for easy serving at parties or gatherings.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
