Description

Crispy golden fries loaded with parmesan, topped with juicy garlic butter steak slices, and drizzled with a velvety creamy onion sauce — this indulgent recipe brings together texture, richness, and bold flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Russet Potatoes: 4 large, cut into fries
  • Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup, finely grated
  • Sirloin Steak: 1 pound, room temperature
  • Unsalted Butter: 6 tablespoons, divided
  • Garlic Cloves: 4, minced
  • Yellow Onion: 1 large, thinly sliced
  • Heavy Cream: 1 cup
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: To taste
  • Black Pepper: To taste
  • Fresh Parsley: Chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F (200°C). If deep frying, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine Ingredients: Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Arrange fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket. In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter with garlic until fragrant, then set aside.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Bake or air-fry fries until golden. Meanwhile, sear steak in the skillet, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. Cook to Perfection: In the same skillet, melt the rest of the butter, add onions, and cook until caramelized. Stir in cream and simmer until thickened.
  6. Finishing Touches: Toss fries with parmesan. Slice rested steak. Drizzle onion sauce and garlic butter over fries, top with steak.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Use fresh parmesan for best flavor and melt.
  • Let steak rest before slicing to retain juices.
