  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Add red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat. Add drained pasta and stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil and serve immediately.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce, or use cream cheese for extra richness.
