Description

Key Lime Pie Trifle is a delightful, no-bake dessert with layers of creamy key lime filling, graham cracker crumbs, and whipped topping, all presented in a beautiful trifle dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice (or fresh lime juice)
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Lime wedges or zest for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the key lime mixture until well combined.
  5. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  6. In a large trifle dish, layer the graham cracker mixture, followed by a layer of key lime filling. Repeat layers until the dish is full, ending with a layer of key lime filling on top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the trifle to set.
  8. Before serving, garnish with lime wedges or zest, if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger lime flavor, increase the lime zest or juice slightly.
  • Use a store-bought graham cracker crust if short on time.
  • This dessert can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
