This Instant Pot Spaghetti is your new go-to weeknight comfort food, combining tender noodles, rich meaty tomato sauce, and bold Italian seasoning all in one pot with zero fuss.

- 12 oz dry spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups water
- Grated parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil. Once hot, add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
- Stir in the tomato paste, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Break the spaghetti in half and layer over the meat mixture. Do not stir. Pour the water evenly over the top.
- Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
- Once done, perform a quick release. Open the lid and stir everything together until the sauce is evenly distributed and noodles are tender.
- Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly. Serve hot with grated parmesan on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing the onions.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or a plant-based alternative.
- Don’t stir the pasta before cooking to avoid the burn notice.
- Add a splash of cream at the end for a richer sauce.
